Preschoolers

 Dear Parents,

Welcome to preschool! Hold onto your hats and get ready for an exciting ride filled with new discoveries around every bend!  This is a very exciting time and your child will be learning new things every day.

Our preschool classrooms are designed to promote exploration and creative thinking.  We are hard at work learning math, science, social studies, literature, art, and music.  Each day we are learning how to take care of ourselves and how to socialize.

During the year your child will be participating in a science program that will be introducing them to the world around them.  We explore nature, with the help of our nature trail!  Our classrooms have a perfect view of the changing seasons!  We learn about animal life cycles with the help of our classroom pets!  Taking care of animals is a wonderful lesson and one that we take part in all year round.

Your child will be exposed to many amazing authors in our literacy program.  We will focus on reading, reading, reading!  The children will learn all about books, from how to open them, to all about authors and publishers!  We focus on letter recognition, not memorization.  With each step we will be getting closer to learning how to read!

Our goal with our preschool program is to make sure your child is ready for kindergarten!  Every child learns differently and has a unique personality.  We understand this and create lessons that are centered around each unique child.  This ensures that when kindergarten is around the corner they are excited and ready!

Sincerely,

The Busy Bee Teachers and The Butterfly Teachers
